Peter and Elizabeth Howe: Siblings and Photographers

At Sip & Develop in Silver Spring, Maryland, we’re proud to be the first and only film development company that allows customers to enjoy a “Bring Your Own” beverage atmosphere as they develop their photography film. When you visit us, you can reserve our darkroom equipment to develop your photos yourself, or we can teach you step-by-step.

We have a passion for photography, and we appreciate other people who do, too. Today, we’d like to introduce you to a local brother and sister duo, Peter and Elizabeth Howe. Read on to learn more about them and their careers in photography.

Peter and Elizabeth Howe

A Shared Love for Photography

Many siblings struggle to find common interests, but that wasn’t the case for Peter and Elizabeth. For as long as they can remember, they’ve had a shared love for photography that keeps their bond strong.

Local to Takoma Park

The Howe siblings are originally from Takoma Park, MD. Later in life, though, they chose to settle in downtown Silver Spring. Most of their work has been done locally, and they’re always getting involved in our community.

Experienced Behind the Camera

Peter and Elizabeth are proud of their established careers in photography, and they have every right to be! Their extensive experience is impressive. Most notably, the siblings worked for the local Penn Camera for over 20 years! Back in the day, Peter frequently took portraits of women who wanted to break into the modeling industry, too. After all, the duo has always loved photographing pretty people.

Their Photography Process

While they grew up with a darkroom in their home, Peter and Elizabeth no longer follow the film development process. Instead, they’ve moved on to a Digital Rebel from Canon. Despite their switch from film to digital, their passion for photography remains as strong as ever!
